Meeting with Holly Lynch - Shadow minister for security and Labour MP for Halifax

Regular meetings with Government Ministers, Members of the Shadow Cabinet and back bench MPs is a significant part of our ongoing public affairs work.

In addition to the engagement with the Home Office around Martyn’s Law, the EIA recently met with Holly Lynch MP, the Shadow Minister for Security and Labour MP for Halifax, to discuss the impact of Protect Duty Legislation recently published by the Government.

Further meetings to discuss the implementation of the legislation will be held in the coming months.

The EIA is a great forum for collaboration between three of the major UK business events associations. It’s so important as an industry that we speak with one voice, that we collaborate on the biggest issues that we face and that we build mutual understanding and respect. The EIA provides the opportunity to do all of these things and is a made more powerful by all of our contributions.
